Weber Named GEVA Head Coach for 2022 USA Volleyball All-Star Championship

USA All-Star Championship set to take place on July 20-23
QUEENS, N.Y. (July 18, 2022) – St. John's Volleyball Associate Head Coach Bryan Weber has been chosen to lead the Garden Empire Volleyball Association's team at the 2022 USA Volleyball All-Star Championships.
Weber will be the head coach of the GEVA Select Red Team, comprised of the best young talent from the Greater New York Metropolitan Area. The squad is slated to go up against top teams from across the United States. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Tulsa, Okla. from July 20-23, when approximately 100 teams will venture to the Cox Business Convention Center to take part in this competition.
During his tenure with the Red Storm, Weber has been a part of six winning seasons and a 2019 BIG EAST Championship. The Johnnies went onto earn their third-ever NCAA Tournament in program history. Alongside Head Coach Joanne Persico, Weber has mentored two BIG EAST Player of the Year selections and 12 all-conference honorees.
Weber arrived at St. John's in 2014 and spent seven years in the role of assistant coach. In October 2021, he was promoted to associate head coach and will enter his ninth year with the program this upcoming fall.
