Yesica de Lucas posted four wins on the weekend

QUEENS, N.Y.– The 2022-23 St. John's women's tennis season got off to a stellar start at the Lion Quad hosted by Columbia.

The Johnnies took all six doubles matches and finished the weekend with an 11-7 combined record at the USTA National Tennis Center.

All three Red Storm doubles teams- Jayden Nielsen and Yesica de Lucas, Mouna Bouzgarrou and Emilie Haakansson and Lalita Devarakonda and Camila Ordonez all claimed victory in both of their matches

de Lucas went 2-0 in singles competition to finish the weekend undefeated. Willa Bay Breunich, Ordonez and Devarakonda each split their pair of singles contests.

The Johnnies will return to the court for the ITA Northeast Regionals on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Princeton, N.J.
