St. John’s takes 10th at 54-hole event

PRINCETON, N.J. – The St. John's women's golf team completed its first event of the season on Sunday, taking 10^th place at the Princeton Invitational.

The Red Storm posted a 925 for the 54-hole event at Springdale Golf Course. Yale won the team title, finishing at 2-over par with an 854.

Jessie Kweon paced the Johnnies squad as the Little Neck, N.Y., native signed off on a 78 on the final day for a 229 at the event. Karen Beglin and Amy Kim tied for 44^th place as the duo each carded a 233 for the 54-hole tournament.

Cloe Clocchiatti recorded two birdies during her final round, posting a 78 for the day to finish with a 238. Rounding out the team was Jill Beglin, who posted a 242 during the season opener.

Individually, Angelica Kusnowo signed off on an 80 during the final round to finish at 246. Laia Barro finished the event with a 250 through 54-holes.

The Red Storm squad will return to action with the Quinnipiac Classic at The Farms Country Club on Oct. 10-11.
