Xuan Khue Minh Doan logs team-best sixth place finish
WALLINGFORD, Conn.- The St. John's women's golf team wrapped up the two-day, three-round Quinnipiac Classic on Tuesday in fifth place out of 13 schools.
The Red Storm shot 74-over as a team throughout the 54 holes at Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
Quinnipiac took the team title after carding a 31-over as a group over the three rounds.
The Johnnies posted a strong second round on Monday afternoon registering a 12-over, 300, which marked the second best team score over those 18 holes.
Xuan Khue Minh Doan logged a team-best sixth place finish after recording an 11-over, 227. The sophomore led the field after 54 holes and fired a 1-over, 73, in the second round.
Angelica Kusnowo checked in at tied for 21st to finish second on the team after shooting a 17-over, 233.
Cloe Clocchiatti recorded a top-25 finish in Wallingford, Conn., after carding a 20-over, 236.
The Red Storm will prepare for its final tournament of the fall when it travels to the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Delaware on Oct. 21-22.
