Women’s Golf Readies for Quinnipiac Classic

Red Storm will compete in 13-team field
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's women's golf team will compete in the Quinnipiac Classic on Oct. 9-10 at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
The Red Storm will take part in the two-day three round event starting on Monday morning. The farms Country Club is a par-72, 6,069-yard track.
There will be 13 teams in field- Bryant, Dartmouth, Fairfield, Farleigh Dickinson, Hartford, Le Moyne, Merrimack, Quinnipiac, Siena, St. John's, Stonehill, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale.
The Johnnies line-up will feature- Karen Beglin, Laia Barro, Cloe Clocchiatti, Angelica Kusnowo and Xuan Khue Minh Doan. Kelly Wu is slated to compete as an individual.
In its last tournament, St. John's logged its best-ever finish at Red Bandanna Invitational placing seventh out of 15 schools at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass.
Minh Doan placed a team-best tied for 15th and shot a squad-low 1-over, 73 at the event. Beglin logged a top-30 finish in a 90-golfer field carding an 18-over through 54 holes.
This marks the third-straight season the Red Storm will participate in Quinnipiac's home event. Last year, Clocchiatti recorded a team-best eighth place finish.
Back in 2021, the crew finished in second place and captured the tournament title in 2016.
Live results will be available on SPIKEMARK throughout the tournament and will be posted on RedStormSports.com at the conclusion of each day.
