Men’s Golf to Hit the Course for Ross Intercollegiate

Red Storm will play in a two-day event at the Mid Pines Golf Club
QUEENS, N.Y.— The St. John's men's golf team will compete in the Ross Intercollegiate on March 13-14 at the Mid Pines Golf Club in North Carolina.
Hosted by George Mason, the two-day, three-round, 54-hole event will begin at 8:35 on Monday morning and tee-off at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Live results will be available at GolfStat.com
The Red Storm will face-off with 17 other schools including BIG EAST opponents Georgetown and Villanova.
Mid Pines Golf Club, a Donald Ross designed course plays at 6,500 yards in the rolling Carolina sandhills. The Red Storm line-up will feature- Peicheng Chen, Jack Simon, Tyler Gerbavsits, Brendan Smith and Ryan Rittberger.
Last time out at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Arizona, the Johnnies finished in 17th place. Chen and Gerbavsits logged a team-best finish tying for 35th out the 108-golfer field after carding a 1-over at the conclusion of three rounds at Palm Valley Golf Club.
At the Ross Intercollegiate Classic in 2022, St. John's concluded the event in seventh place out of 17 teams. Chen logged a team-best 13th place finish.
