St. John’s to Play in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate

Women’s golf heads to Virginia for two-day tournament
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's women's golf team heads down to Williamsburg, Va., for the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on March 27-28.
The Red Storm will compete in the 54-hole event at the River Course on the Kingsmill Resort. The par-72 and 6,057-yard track has played host to the LPGA's Pure Silk Championship and the PGA Tour's Michelob Championship.
The teams will play two rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes the following day. Competition will commence with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and 8:45 on Tuesday. Live stats will be available on GolfStat.com.
The field features 19 teams- Boston University, Georgetown, Hartford, High Point, Hofstra, Lehigh,,Longwood, Loyola Chicago, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Radford, Sacred Heart, St. John's, Toledo, Towson and UMES.
St. John's comes into the tournament after finishing in 13th place at the Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. Cloe Clocchiatti notched the best finish in Florida checking in at 30th place after shooting 10-over par for the tournament.
This marks the first time in five years that the Johnnies will compete in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. In 2018, St. John's finished in second out of 15 teams led by Kaitleen Shee, who took the individual title.
Following this week's action, St. John's will host its home tournament on Apr. 10-11 at Saint Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings on Hudson, N.Y.
