St. John’s Heads to Wildcat Spring Invitational

Red Storm are fresh off second place finish at the Southern Invitational
QUEENS, N.Y.- After a second place finish and an individual title for Peicheng Chen at the Southern Invitational, the St. John's men's golf team is back to work on Monday when it heads to the Wildcat Spring Invitational.
The 54-hole tournament hosted by conference foe Villanova will take place at the LuLu Country Club. The course will play at a par-71 with a length of 6,484 yards.
St. John's will be joined on the links by 15 other schools- Binghamton, Bucknell, Colgate, Drexel, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Iona, Lafayette, La Salle, Lehigh, North Carolina Central, Rider, Rhode Island, Villanova Wagner and William & Mary.
Last week, St. John's came in second out of 11 squads carding an overall team score of 1-over across three rounds at the Falls Club.
The sophomore standout Chen shined taking home the medalist honors shooting an impressive 10-under par in Palm Beach, Fla. The Beijing China, native logged a 4-under final round to seal the deal.
Jack Simon finished inside the top-15 in the team's last tournament finishing with a score of 3-over.
Last season at this tournament, the Red Storm ended up in a tie for third as a unit out of 15 teams. Gage Wolfle led the charge for the Johnnies placing a team-best eighth.
