Joanne Persico Announces Dates for Volleyball Summer Camps

The volleyball coaching staff will host three camps in July
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's Volleyball Head Coach Joanne Persico has announced the dates for her summer volleyball camps at Carnesecca Arena.
The Red Storm will host three camps in July: an elite camp, a specialty skills camp and a general skills camp.
For the first time, St. John's will host an elite camp for aspiring collegiate players. The two-day camp will be hosted on July 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This session is only available for high school aged students entering grades 9-12 and the cost is $150.
The specialty skills camp will be held on July 15-16 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. The four-hour training sessions will focus on specific position groups and help players improve skills unique to their position. The camp is open to any player from ages 8-18 and the cost is $150.
The general skills camp is four days with two sessions available from July 5-8 and 10-13, with each day containing 3 and a half hours of instruction. The camps are open to boys and girls ages 8-18 and the cost is $250.
Coach Persico is entering her 30th season at the helm of the program and has compiled 545 wins, won six BIG EAST titles, made 3 NCAA Tournament appearances and mentored 42 All-BIG EAST selections and 16 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American's during her illustrious career in Queens.
