St. John’s to Open Campaign at Princeton Invitational This Weekend

Women’s golf to start season at Springdale Golf Club on Sept. 16-17
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's golf team will open up its 2023-24 campaign this weekend at the Princeton Invitational.
The two-day, three round tournament will be held at Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. on Sept. 16-17.
Springdale is a 6,109-yard, par-71 track located directly next to the Tigers' campus.
The Red Storm will compete in an impressive 12-team field against- UAlbany, Boston University, Columbia, Dartmouth, FDU, Georgetown, Harvard, Holy Cross, Penn, Princeton and BIG EAST foe Seton Hall.
Lining up on the links for the Johnnies will be- Kelly Wu, Cloe Clocchiatti, Laia Barro, Xuan Khue Minh Doan and Angelica Kusnowo.
Amy Kim and Karen Beglin will play in the event as individual competitors.
This marks the third-straight year St. John's will begin its season at the Princeton Invitational. Last year, Jessie Kweon led the team with a 27th place finish and the Red Storm finished out in 10th as a team.
Head Coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo returns five players from the 2022-23 squad and added two key transfers. Wu arrives from Western Illinois, where she checked in first on the team in five events and tallied a top-10 finish at the Summit League Championships. Minh Doan comes from Wofford, where she recorded a 76.4 stroke average as a freshman last year.
Play will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Live results will be available on SPIKEMARK.
