St. John’s Finishes Opening Day at Princeton Invitational

Karen Beglin logs a strong day at Springdale Golf Club
PRINCETON, N.J. – The St. John's women's golf team rounded out the opening day at the Princeton Invitational and currently sits in 10th place after the first two rounds.
The Red Storm shot 51-over as a team over 36 holes at Springdale Golf Club on Saturday. On the first 18 holes, the Johnnies checked in at seventh place in the 12-team field after logging a 20-over, 304.
Georgetown is the leader in the clubhouse after day one putting up an 8-over, 576.
Karen Beglin sits in a team-best 31st place and third amongst individual competitors. The junior tallied an 11-over, 153 and recorded a team-high five birdies.
Cloe Clocchiatti and Xuan Khue Minh Doan are currently tied for 34th place after firing a 12-over, 154. Clocchiatti registered the best round by a St. John's player over the first 18 posting a 3-over, 74.
Kelly Wu followed right behind the duo finishing with a 13-over, 155, for 41st place. The Western Illinois transfer concluded the opening round with a 4-over, 75, and flushed two birdie putts in her first four holes as a member of the Red Storm.
Angelica Kusnowo registered a pair of 7-over, 78, rounds at Springdale to end the day 14-over, 156, and check in knotted for 47th place.
