St. John’s Records Impressive Third Round at Princeton Invitational

Red Storm finished eighth at Springdale Golf Club
PRINCETON, N.J.– The St. John's women's golf team tallied an impressive third round to tally an eighth place finish at the Princeton Invitational on Sunday.
The Red Storm shot 11-over, 295, in the third round and Springdale Golf Club, which ranked fourth-best amongst the 12-team field. Overall, the Johnnies turned in a 62-over, 914, to log their best finish at the event since 2019.
Georgetown fended off a surge from Dartmouth, who shot 9-under as a team on Sunday, to claim the team title posting an overall score of 10-over, 862.
Xuan Khue Minh Doan shot up the leaderboard on Sunday morning after recording a 1-under, 70, over the final 18 holes to record a team-best 24th place in her St. John's debut. The sophomore tallied three birdies in the third round and was one of eight players to finish under par on Sunday in a 72-golfer field. Overall, the Wofford transfer finished the weekend with an 11-over, 224, which led the team.
Kelly Wu also had a terrific final round Sunday, shooting an even 71 to end up in 31st place at 13-over, 226. The sophomore recorded two of her three birdies over her final four holes of the tournament.
Cloe Clocchiatti shot a 4-over, 75, in Princeton, N.J. and finished out at 16-over which put her tied for 36th place.
The women's golf team will be back in action on Sept. 25-26 for the Red Bandana Invitational.
