St. John’s in Sixth After First Two Rounds at Red Bandanna Invitational

Red Storm recorded 21 birdies on Monday at Blue Hill Country Club
CANTON Mass. – The St. John's women's golf team sits in sixth place in a 17-team field following the opening two rounds at the Red Bandanna Invitational.
The Red Storm shot 45-over, 621, in rainy conditions at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass. The Johnnies flushed 21 birdies on Monday, which ranked third best amongst the field.
In the opening round, St. John's logged a 16-over, 304, as a team which put the squad in second after the initial 18 holes.
Karen Beglin recorded a strong outing firing a team-low 9-over, 153, at Blue Hill that puts her tied for 18th place in a 90-golfer field. In the first round, the junior shot a 2-over, 74 and tallied five birdies.
Angelica Kusnowo finished with a team-high six birdies on Monday and checks in at 28th place after shooting an 11-over, 156 in Massachusetts.
Xuan Khue Minh Doan is currently tied with Kusnowo in 28th place after Monday's play concluded. Over the opening 18 holes, the sophomore sunk two birdie putts on her final two holes to tally a 4-over, 76.
