St. John’s Prepares for Lady Blue Hen Invitational

The Red Storm will compete at Rehoboth Country Club this weekend
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's women's golf team is back in action this weekend at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
The 54-hole tournament will run on Oct. 19-20 with 36 holes on Saturday and the final 18 on Sunday. A shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. from Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Delaware.
The Red Storm will compete in an 11-team field against- the hosts Delaware, Georgetown, Harvard, LIU, Quinnipiac, Richmond, Seton Hall, Yale and Youngstown State.
The Johnnies' line-up will remain the same from earlier this week as Xuan Khue Minh Doan, Karen Beglin, Kelly Wu, Lily Huynhand Amy Kim will compete in Delaware. Cathilyn Lee will play as an individual.
St. John's is coming off its best team finish since April 11, 2022 after placing tied for third at the Quinnipiac Classic. The squad carded a 63-over, 927, over three rounds at Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn earlier this week. The Red Storm led the tournament field with 162 recorded pars as a group.
Karen Beglin recorded a career-best runner-up finish at Quinnipiac logging a 10-over, 226, for a career-low three-round tournament score. Xuan Khue Minh Doan and Kelly Wu also registered top-10 finishes placing tied for eighth place finish with a 16-over, 232.
During last year's Lady Blue Hen Invitational, Minh Doan logged a 1-under, 71, in the final round, the lowest by a Red Storm golfer during the 2023-24 campaign and took a 15th place finish. The Red Storm will play in the event for the fourth-straight year and logged its best finish in 2021 placing eighth.
