Xuan Khue Minh Doan shot a team-best four-over on Saturday

DELMAR, N.Y. (Oct. 5, 2024) – The St. John's women's golf team finished the first round of the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational on Saturday.

The Red Storm took the course for the first 18 holes of the weekend and tallied a seventh-place finish. The squad shot 27-over, 377.

Xuan Khue Minh Doan led the Johnnies, finishing day one in seventh place after shooting four-over, 74, earning birdies on holes seven and 10.

Karen Beglin and Kelly Wu checked in next for St. John's, finishing the round in 22^nd and 28^th place, respectively. Beglin completed the day shooting six-over, 76, while Wu finished just behind her at seven-over, 77.

Lily Huynh shot a 10-over, 80, good for 42^nd place while Amy Kim's 12-over, 72, places her in 52^nd place after the first round.

Lehigh shot a 14-over, 364 to take the tournament lead heading into day two. Merrimack (17-over, 350) and Seton Hall (23-over, 350) round off the top three from the first round.
