Red Storm finish tied for 10th place

OLDSMAR, Fla. –The St. John's women's golf program wrapped up competition at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The Red Storm finished the event tied for 10th out of 14 teams. The team scored a 76-over, 652 at Ardea Country Club.

Western Michigan captured the team title at 32-over, 608 and Quinnipiac's Leeyan Peralta led wire-to-wire shooting a 2-over, 146 to capture the individual title.

For the sixth time in as many tournaments, Xuan Khue Minh Doan tallied a team-best finish coming in 29^th place in the Sunshine State. The Hanoi, Vietnam native finished out 36 holes at 15-over, 159.

Individual competitors Laia Barro (34^th) and Amy Kim (41^st) checked in next for the Red Storm on the 98-golfer leaderboard.

Cloe Clocchiatti and Kelly Wu ended the event inside the top-50 tying for 48^th place with identical scores of 10-over, 164.

St. John's will head right back to Florida next week for the Spring Break Shootout on March 18-19.
