St. John’s Readies for Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at Ohio State

Red Storm will compete against the nation’s top programs over the weekend
COLUMBUS, Ohio– The St. John's men's golf team will prepare for the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at Ohio State this weekend.
The three-round 54-hole competition will from Friday to Sunday with one round each day from the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio. The Scarlet Course is a 7,455-yard track.
The Red Storm will compete in a loaded 18- team field against Abilene Christian, Colorado State, Creighton, Dayton, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Kansas City, Maryland, Miami Ohio, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, the hosts Ohio State, Purdue and South Dakota State.
The Johnnies line-up will remain the same as it was for the Mountaineer Invitational earlier this week with Peicheng Chen, Thomas Finn, Ryan RIttberger, David Mlynek and Erik Stevens lining up on the tee for the Red Storm.
Earlier this week, St. John's improved its score in each round at the Mountaineer Invitational and shot a 4-over over the final 18 holes to take 11th place. Chen shot a 4-under, 68, in the third round at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W. Va. The junior has led the Red Storm in five events this season and was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on April 4 after placing runner-up at the Southern Invitational in Florida.
This weekend's tournament serves as the final tune-up before the BIG EAST Championships on April 27-29 at Riverton Pointe Golf Club in Hardeeville, S.C.
