Thomas Finn Matches Round Best Even Par at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Red Storm jumped up four spots on Saturday to 13th place
COLUMBUS, Ohio– Thomas Finn matches the best second round of any player in the 99-golfer field in difficult conditions shooting an even par, 71, at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on Saturday.
The St. John's men's golf team rose up the leaderboard four spots on Saturday afternoon after carding a 13-over, 297 in penultimate round the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course. The Red Storm are tied for 13th place at 34-over with Eastern Michigan through 36 holes.
Finn, a freshman standout, skyrocketed 41 spots up the player standings after firing his even par 71. The Locust Valley, N.Y., native tallied three birdies and 12 pars in Columbus. With one round left to play, Finn has a 5-over on his scorecard and sits in 16th place.
Peicheng Chen recorded a 3-over, 74, on the lengthy Scarlet Course. The junior logged three consecutive birdies on holes 3-5. For the tournament, the Beijing, China native registered a 6-over and checks in tied for 25th place.
Ryan Rittberger also tallied a 3-over, 74 and posted a team-best 13 pars during today's round.
St. John's will compete in the final round at Ohio State tomorrow before preparing for the BIG EAST Golf Championships next week.
