St. John’s Shines in Final Round at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Peicheng Chen records top-five finish in Columbus, Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio– The St. John's men's golf team shined during the final round of the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate on Sunday.
The Storm shot a 4-over, 288, in the third round the third best final round score amongst the competitive 18-tournament field. The Red Storm concluded the three-day 54-hole event at the Ohio State Golf Club Scarlet Course with a total score of 49-over, 901, to take sole possession of 14th place.
Peicheng Chen led the charge after carding a 2-under, 69, during the final round in Columbus. The junior's score tied for the lowest final by any player in the 99-golfer field and tallied four birdies on Sunday. The Beijing, China product ended the event with a 4-over, 217, to log his second top-5 finish in the last three events against some of the top golfers in the country.
David Mylnek impressed over the final 18 holes shooting an even par, 71, recording a birdie, 16 pars and just one bogey at the Scarlet Course.
Ryan Rittberger registered a personal tournament low 2-over, 73, tallying a birdie on his final hole. The graduate student wrapped up the tournament with an 11-over, 224 to tie for 38th place. Thomas Finn posted a 3-over, 74, in Sunday's final round.
St. John's will now turn its focus to the BIG EAST Championships next weekend at Riverton Pointe Golf Club in Hardeeville, S.C.
