St. John’s to Begin 2024-25 Season at Princeton Invitational

All-BIG EAST selection Xuan Khue Minh Doan returns for the Red Storm
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's women's golf team will begin its 2024-25 campaign this weekend at the Princeton Invitational.
The two-day, three-round event from Springdale Golf Club will run from Sept. 28-29 in Princeton, N.J. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on each day.
The Red Storm will compete in a 12-team field against Boston University, Dartmouth, FDU, Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, UAlbany, Princeton, Seton Hall, Georgetown and Yale.
The Johnnies will embark on their 21st season under the direction of Head Coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo, who has a roster of seven golfers comprised of four returners and three newcomers.
Junior Xuan Khue Minh Doan returns for her second season in Queens after a stellar first-year with the program. The Hanoi, Vietnam native logged a team-best finish in all 10 events and recorded seven top-15 placements. The All-BIG EAST selection led the Red Storm with a team-low 75.1 stroke average.
Joining Minh Doan in the line-up are a trio of returners in Kelly Wu, Karen Beglin and Amy Kim along with newcomers in junior college transfer Cathilyn Lee and freshman Lily Hyunh. East Tennessee State transfer Charlotte Roodenburg will compete as an individual.
Saturday will mark the fourth-straight year the St. John's women's golf program will kick-off its season at Springdale Golf Club, a 6,086-yard par-71 track. The Red Storm logged an eighth place finish at the event last year.
The Princeton Invitational marks the first of three fall events for the Johnnies. Next weekend, the squad will compete at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational in Delmar, N.Y.
