St. John’s Concludes First Two Rounds at Princeton Invitational

Kelly Wu sits in 16th place
PRINCETON, N.J.– The St. John's women's golf team concluded its first two rounds at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday.
The Red Storm battled through rainy conditions through 36 holes at Springdale Golf Club and sits in 10th place with one round to play. The squad shot 51-over, 619, through two rounds and improved its team score by five strokes over the latter 18 carding a 23-over, 307, to end the day.
Princeton heads into the clubhouse with a 23-stroke advantage after logging a 7-over, 595. The Tigers' YanJun Liu sits atop of the individual leaderboard after registering a 2-under, 140.
Kelly Wu paced the squad on opening day with a team-best 8-over, 150. The junior started the day off with a 5-over, 76, before closing play with a team-low 3-over, 74, in New Jersey.
Amy Kim was consistent at Springdale Golf Club turning in a pair of 6-over, 77, rounds to finish 12-over, 154, for the day. The graduate student placed second on the team and ranks tied for 30th overall.
Veteran Karen Beglin shot 17-over, 159, through the initial 36 holes and checks in at 46th overall.
