Women’s Golf to Close Fall State at Lady Blue Hen Invitational

Reigning Co-BIG EAST Golfer of the Week Kelly Wu is coming off an individual title
QUEENS, N.Y. – Following a runner-up finish at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational, the St. John's women's golf team will close its fall slate Lady Blue Hen Invitational this weekend.
The Red Storm will compete in the two-day three-round event over the weekend at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Delaware. The shotgun start will begin play at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The Johnnies will compete in an 11-team field against Delaware, Dartmouth, Delaware State, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Seton Hall, Yale and Youngstown State
Kelly Wu captured her first medalist honor winning the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational on Monday. The senior went on to win Co-BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. The Auckland, New Zealand native won the individual title by five strokes carding a 4-under, 136, over two rounds at Normanside Country Club.
As a team, the Red Storm finished second in the 14-team field after logging a 35-over, 596, in Delmar, N.Y. Four Red Storm golfers turned in a top-16 finish.
Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament on Golf Genius.
