Men’s Golf to Compete at Xavier Invitational

Joseph Dolezal is coming off a third place finish at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse
QUEENS, N.Y.– The St. John's men's golf team will be back in action on Monday when it competes in the two-day, three-round Xavier Invitational at Maketewah Country Club.
The Red Storm will hit the course for two rounds tomorrow beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Johnnies will play the final round in the Queen City on Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m.
St. John's will compete in a 13-team field against Air Force, Detroit Mercy, Florida A&M, IUPUI, Tennessee Technological, Morehead State, Purdue- Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky, Ohio State, Southern Indiana, Youngstown State and the hosts Xavier.
Head Coach Phil Wildermuth's line-up will featured Joseph Dolezal, Max McColgan, Eli Weidmann, Matthew DiFiore and David Mlynek.
In its last competition, the Johnnies tied for third place at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse in Hampden, Mass. St. John's shot 5-under over the final 36 holes to record an 8-over, 872, to place top-three. Dolezal logged a career-best third place finish after carding 3-under, 212.
The Red Storm will compete at the Xavier Invitational for the second in three years after finishing fifth overall in Cincinnati in 2023.
Live scoring throughout the tournament will be available on SCOREBOARD.
