St. John’s Cross Country Prepares for Historic Paul Short Run

Six Johnnies are slated to compete in the Brown Section on Friday
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's cross country team is set to compete on Friday afternoon in the 51st Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
The Red Storm will race in the Brown Section 6k at 2:45 p.m. The Johnnies will compete in a 40- team field, comprised of Division I and II schools.
Previously at Paul Short, the Johnnies placed 29th as a team. Ana Dobsa and Naiara Garcia are the top returners out of the six competitors for St. John's. Both Johnnies completed the 6k in an identical time of 24:54.60.
In addition to Dobsa and Garcia, newcomer Attoya Harvey looks to continue her strong start season in Bethlehem. Harvey ran a personal-best in the 5k at the Iona Meet of Champions, stopping the clock in 20:29.8.
After Paul Short, St. John's will travel to Branch Brooke Park, N.J., to compete in the Metropolitan Cross Country Championships on Oct. 11.
