St. John’s to Close Fall Slate at Wykagyl Invitational

Red Storm will compete at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle
QUEENS, N.Y.– Following back-to-back top-three finishes, the St. John's men's golf team will close its fall slate at the Wykagyl Invitational on Oct. 27-28.
The Red Storm will compete in the two-day, three-round event at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y. Play on the par-72 6,690-yard track will commence at 8:30 a.m. on Monday with a shotgun start and wrap up on Tuesday morning with the third and final round.
The Johnnies will compete in an 11-team field against- Sacred Heart, Manhattan, Fordham, Fairfield, Mount St. Mary's, Rhode Island, St. John's, Hofstra, LIU, St. Thomas Aquinas, and the hosts Iona.
St. John's line-up will feature Joseph Dolezal, Eli Weidmann, Max McColgan, Matthew DiFiore and David Mlynek.
The Johnnies are coming off consecutive top-three team finishes at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse and the Xavier Invitational. In its last time out, four St. John's golfer finished inside the top-35 to pace the Red Storm to a third place finish at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati. Wedimann finished a team-best 17th place and has recorded three top-20 finishes in his first three collegiate appearances.

Following this tournament the Red Storm will return to action in 2026 when it competes in the Bill Cullum Invitational in California on Feb. 2-3.
