QUEENS, N.Y.– Four-time World Series Champion with the New York Yankees, Joe Girardi will headline the St. John's Baseball's 19th annual Bullpen Banquet, which will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Giando on the Water in Brooklyn.

Girardi won four World Series titles as both a player and a manager for the New York Yankees in 1996, '98, '99 and 2009. The former catcher played 15 seasons in Major League Baseball for the Chicago Cubs (1989-92 & 2000-02), Colorado Rockies (1993-95), New York Yankees (1996-99) and St. Louis Cardinals (2003). The Peoria, Ill., native appeared in 1,277 games totaling 1,100 hits, 422 RBIs and a .267 batting average. Girardi captured three World Series Championships in a four-year span with the Yankees and was an All-Star in 2000 while with the Cubs.
After retiring from his playing days, Girardi quickly rose up the coaching ranks. He served as a bench coach for the Yankees in 2005 under his former manager Joe Torre. The following year, he earned his first managerial gig leading the Florida Marlins in 2006, where he nearly led the team with the lowest payroll in the sport to a playoff appearance and was named the NL Manager of the Year. In 2008, he took over as the manager for the New York Yankees guiding them to their 27th World Series title and four American League Championship series.
Girardi has made in impact in the broadcast booth serving as an analyst and host for YES Network, FOX Sports, MLB Network and Marquee Sports Network.
During the event, the 1976 St. John's Baseball team will be honored celebrating the 50th anniversary of its ECAC Championship. Led by legendary coach and St. John's Hall of Famer Joe Russo, the Johnnies recorded a 33-7-1 mark and an NCAA Tournament appearance. The night will also feature the recipients of the Howie Gershberg Award Jed Boyle and the Peter P. Smith Award Jared Beebe for the team's most valuable pitcher and offensive player, respectively, from the 2025 campaign.
Early-bird individual tickets to the Bullpen Winter Banquet can be purchased for $300. St. John's GOLD alumni (graduates of the last decade) can secure their seats at the event for just $250. Attendees can also purchase a ticket to the Red Storm men's basketball game against Connecticut at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 6, 2026 for an additional $80.
