The Johnnies have captured 11 of their last 12 contests and own a 13-2 record in BIG EAST play, holding a two-game lead at the top of the conference standings.
St. John's tallied its 13th BIG EAST win on Sunday, marking the program's highest total since it went 14-4 in 1998-99. The squad's three wins over ranked opponents in less than a two-week span was the most since 1999-2000 when it captured three top-25 wins over seven days.
In the national polls, St. John's remained in the top-10 ranking No. 10 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA TODAY Coaches' poll on Monday. Early in Sunday's victory the Red Storm trailed by double-digits before rallying back and held Creighton scoreless for nearly seven minutes in the latter stanza. The Johnnies have trailed by double-digits in only seven games this season and won six of them. The Red Storm has mounted five double-digit comebacks during BIG EAST competition.

The Brooklyn native recorded his second straight double-double in Sunday's win over the Bluejays, finishing the contest with 19 points, 10 boards and four steals. Richmond was named Metropolitan Basketball Association Player of the Week and selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

The Red Storm's decisive victory was fueled by a 55.2 (37-67) field goal percentage and scored 80 of its 89 points from inside the three-point arc. Richmond (18), Simeon Wilcher (16) and Ejiofor (12) led the team in scoring.
DePaul led by first year Head Coach Chris Holtmann and holds an 11-15 record, including a 2-13 mark against BIG EAST competition. The Blue Demons have improved on last season's win total by eight games already with a new-look roster.
