St. John’s Heads to 2025 BIG EAST Championships

Three-day conference tournament will be held at Riverton Pointe Golf Club in South Carolina
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's golf team will prepare to compete in the 2025 BIG EAST Championships presented by JEEP from April 19-21.
The 2025 BIG EAST Championship will return to Riverton Pointe Golf Club in Hardeeville, S.C. for the second time in the last three years. The six competing member schools- St. John's, Georgetown, Xavier, Seton Hall, Creighton and Butler will play one round each day from Saturday to Monday.
For the third straight year, the men's and women's golf championships will be streamed live as the broadcast coverage will be provided by GolfKastTV. To watch the coverage spread across 10 different holes of this weekend's championship click here. Anthony Mazzini will serve as the commentator on the 18th green at Riverton Pointe. Live results will be available throughout the event on SCOREBOARD.
St. John's enters the conference tournament with a medalist honor at the Northern Kentucky Spring Fling and a top-three finish at the Quinnipiac Classic in the fall. The Red Storm have finished in fourth place in four of the last five conference tournaments.
The Johnnies are led by Head Coach Ambry Bishop-Santillo, who led the Red Storm its lone BIG EAST Championship in 2005 and has won 26 team championships while at the helm of the program.
The St. John's line-up will feature five upperclassmen in- Kelly Wu, Xuan Khue Minh Doan, Amy Kim, Cathilyn Lee and Karen Beglin.
Minh Doan, a 2024 All-BIG EAST selection finished tied for seventh at the BIG EAST Tournament last year. The junior has recorded runner-up finishes in each of her last two starts.
Lee has logged a top-30 finish in four of her last five events, including a team-best 25th place finish in the team's last tournament at the Rutgers Invitational on April 5-6.
The team and individual champion if not on the winning team will receive an automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf Regionals in May.
