With its 34 wins and counting this year, St. John's has set a new program record for season win total, breaking the previous mark of 32 triumphs that was achieved in both the 1990 and 2017 seasons. On Monday, Serafinko was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season, joining Francia (2025) and Madison Morris (2019) as the only three St. John's pitchers to capture the award three times in a single season. Jarrard continues to pace the St. John's lineup, batting .429 with 10 doubles, 12 home runs and 53 RBIs this season. The shortstop added two hits on Wednesday with a pair of singles after going 6-for-14 (.429) with a double, home run and four RBIs during the squad's series at Creighton.
Villanova enters the weekend series with a 24-20-1 overall record and in third place in the BIG EAST with a 12-6 mark in conference play.
