Noemi Babikova and Alicia Gomez Tabbed BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week

The duo helped the Johnnies take down Georgetown to improve to 5-0 in BIG EAST play
NEW YORK, N.Y. – For the second time this season, Noemi Babikova and Alicia Gomez were tabbed BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
This is the fourth weekly award for the St. John's women's tennis team this season and the second time Babikova and Gomez have garnered BIG EAST honors in the last month. Sandra Dzhambazov and Nicoline Sartz-Lunde previously earned Doubles Team of the Week honors on March 3, and Babikova collected Singles Player of the Week on March 24.
The duo took down Georgetown's Ashley Kennedy and Katie Garofolo-Ro on the No. 1 doubles court 6-1, helping the Johnnies take the team point and defeat the Hoyas 4-3 and stay perfect in BIG EAST play at 5-0.
The Johnnies' top doubles team is 6-1 this season and has won their last three contests.
St. John's will look to make it two straight wins when it travels to West Long Branch, N.J., for a 3 p.m. contest with Monmouth.
