Five St. John’s Women’s Golfers Earn WGCA All-American Scholar Recognition

Five Johnnies earn the honor for the sixth-straight year

PALM SPRINGS, Fla.– Five student-athletes from the St. John's Women's Golf program were named Women's Golf Coaches' Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, the organization announced earlier this week.

Karen Beglin, Lily Hyunh, Amy Kim, Xuan Khue Minh Doan and Kelly Wu all were honored for their accomplishments on the course and in the classroom.

In order to be eligible for all-american scholar status, players must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and participates in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.

The women's golf program was excellent in the classroom during the academic year compiling a team GPA of 3.87.

This marks the sixth-straight season that the Johnnies' have placed five golfers or more on the prestigious list after the entire roster earned the honor in 2024.

Kim and Beglin received Scholar All-American status for the fourth time in their careers while Wu and Minh Doan garner the recognition for the second consecutive year.
