Erin Jones Tabbed to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Red Storm senior honored by league for second consecutive week
NEW YORK - St. John's volleyball star Erin Jones was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her superb performance over the weekend, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.Â
Jones leads the BIG EAST in triple-doubles with four total, heading into conference play this weekend. The Albuquerque, N.M., native holds the BIG EAST record for triple-doubles in conference play recording eight last season. She also finished third in the 2024 NCAA Division I ranks in the same category with 11 overall.Â
The opposite hitter guided the Red Storm to a pair wins over Le Moyne and Siena during the Syracuse Invitational over the weekend before falling in a five-set thriller to Syracuse. She finished the tournament averaging 3.16 kills per set, 5.0 assists per set and 2.50 digs per set. Heading into conference play Jones leads the team with 3.15 kills, adding 3.33 assists and 2.48 digs per set.Â
In a sweep of the Le Moyne, Jones finished with a game-high 13 kills and added 11 assists as she notched her third double-double of the 2025 campaign.Â
Across two matches on Saturday, she secured a line of 11 kills, 23 assists and 14 digs in a 3-1 victory over the Siena for her first triple-double of the day. Later Jones collected a team-high 14 kills, while contributing 23 assists and 11 digs in a highly contested match against Syracuse for her fourth triple-double and the outright conference lead. Last week she was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of Week.Â
Jones and the Red Storm begin BIG EAST play Friday, Sept. 26., as it welcomes Villanova for 7 p.m. match at Carnesecca Arena.Â
