Men’s Golf to Open Spring Season at Bill Cullum Invitational

Red Storm will compete at Saticoy Club in California on Feb. 2-3
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's golf team will open up the spring campaign on Monday when it heads to the West Coast for the Bill Cullum Invitational at the Saticoy Club in Somis, Calif.
The Red Storm will compete in three rounds over two days in Southern California, hosted by Cal State-Northbridge. Play will commence with a shotgun start each day at 11:30 a.m. Live results will be available on SCOREBOARD throughout the event.
The Johnnies will compete in a 12-team field against- British Columbia, California Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Gonzaga, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Utah Tech, Weber State and the hosts CSUN. The Red Storm is the only team from the East Coast competing in the event
St. John's line-up will feature- Joseph Dolezal, Matthew DiFiore, David Mlynek, Max McColgan and Eli Weidmann.
The Red Storm competed in five events during the fall to start the 2025-26 campaign finishing inside the top-three in team scoring in each of the last three. The Johnnies finished third at the Xavier, UConn and Wykagyl Invitational. McColgan paced the Red Storm in its final event of the fall finishing runner-up at Wykagyl Country Club, carding a season-best 4-under, 212, to take second place.
After the Red Storm compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational for the first time, the squad will head to Gulf Coast Collegiate Classic in New Orleans on Feb. 23-24.
