St. John’s Drops Contest Against Yale

The Johnnies will return to action on Friday hosting UConn
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's tennis team fell to Yale, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point before securing victories in singles play to hand the Red Storm its third loss of the season.
In doubles action, Yale took the No. 2 court, but the tandem of Alicia Gomez and Abi Redman responded with a 6-3 victory over Leena Friedman and Erin Ha on the No. 1 court to even the score. The Bulldogs ultimately secured the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead.
Yale clinched the match with wins on the No. 2 and No. 5 courts, along with a default on the No. 6 court.
With the loss, the Red Storm move to 5-3 on the season and will return to action when they host BIG EAST foe UConn at the USTA National Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 12:15 p.m.
