St. John’s Returns to Action at Gulf Coast Collegiate Classic

Red Storm will compete at Bayou Oaks at City Park in New Orleans
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's golf team will return to action on Monday when it competes in the Gulf Coast Collegiate Classic in New Orleans.
The Red Storm will compete in two rounds on Monday and the final round will tee off on Tuesday morning at Bayou Oaks at City Park.
The Johnnies line-up will feature- Joseph Dolezal, Matthew DiFiore, Max McColgan, Eli Weidmann and David Mlynek.
St. John's will compete in a 14-team field against- Augusta, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Belmont, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Jackson State, Loyola-Chicago, Murray State, New Orleans, Nicholls, Southern Indiana, Southeastern Louisiana and Tennessee Tech.
The Red Storm started its spring campaign at the Bill Cullum Invitational in California on Feb. 2-3. The Johnnies finished eighth in the 12-team field carding a 56-over, 920, at Somis Country Club. St. John's had its best round of the tournament on the final logging a 9-over, 297.
Weidmann paced the squad recording his second top five finish of the season. The rookie placed tied for fourth registering a 3-over, 219 (76-74-69) in his home state of California.
