Men’s Golf Battles in Round Two at Donald Ross Collegiate Classic

The Red Storm sit in sixth place heading into tomorrow’s final round
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.- After two days of competition, the St. John's men's golf team battled to sit in sixth place out of 20 teams at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate Classic.
Following 36 holes of action, the Red Storm sit at 4-over, 580, heading into Wednesday's final round. On Tuesday, the Johnnies carded a 7-over, 295, as a team. The Red Storm tallied a second round high two eagles at Mid Pines Golf Club.
Eli Weidmann remains the top performer for St. John's sitting in 15th place in the 100-golfer field. The rookie has shot 1-under, 143, in Southern Pines after adding a 2-over, 74, to his scorecard on Tuesday.
Fellow freshman Matthew DiFiore checks in right behind Weidmann tallying an even par going into the clubhouse. DiFiore posted a 1-over, 73, in the penultimate round of the tournament.
Joseph Dolezal and Max McColgan both shot 2-over, 74, on Tuesday and each tallied an eagle. Dolezal recorded an eagle on the 537-yard par-5 sixth hole and sits in 36th with a cumulative mark of 2-over, 146. McColgan finished in three strokes on the 15th hole par-5 and takes 42nd place with a 3-over, 147.
The third and final round will begin tomorrow at 9:05 a.m. with live results available on SCOREBOARD and a live stream available on YouTube.
