Red Storm Rallies Past Wagner, 7-3, in Final Home Game of 2026 Season

The Johnnies will conclude BIG EAST play at Villanova this weekend
QUEENS, N.Y. — The St. John's softball team defeated Wagner, 7-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Red Storm Field in its final home game of the 2026 campaign.
The Red Storm (32-20, 9-12 BIG EAST) scored seven runs on 12 hits in its fifth-straight victory, highlighted by a three-run sixth inning to pull away late. Cassidy Stouffer led the offense with a 3-for-3 performance and two RBIs, while Jess Bianco added two hits and an RBI. London Slade went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple, and Sarah Post recorded a hit and an RBI. Elanna Lysiak also contributed a triple in the victory.
In the circle, Loreley Francia earned the win after tossing five innings, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out seven to improve to 15-9 on the season. Ana Serafinko recorded the save, throwing two scoreless innings with four strikeouts to secure her fifth save of the year in the duo's final game at Red Storm Field.
Natasha Limbani extended her hitting streak to 11 games, while Lysiak pushed hers to eight. London Slade recorded a hit in her fifth straight contest, and Jess Bianco extended her streak to seven games.
Stouffer continued her strong stretch at the plate, recording her second consecutive three-hit performance. The Red Storm have now produced a player with three hits in six consecutive games.
St. John's has also found its rhythm offensively down the stretch, recording double-digit hits in eight of its last nine games.
Wagner (17-25, 12-9 NEC) struck first in the second inning, using an RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
St. John's answered in the bottom half. Lysiak led off with a triple before Post drove her in with a single to tie the game. Later in the inning, Bianco dropped down a bunt single to plate another run and give the Johnnies a 2-1 advantage.
The Red Storm added to their lead in the third. After Limbani reached and Sydney Totarsky pinch ran, Serafinko delivered a base hit before Stouffer lined a two-run single to right field, extending the advantage to 4-1.
Wagner responded in the fifth inning with a two-run home run to cut the deficit to 4-3.
St. John's broke the game open in the sixth. Konopka and Bianco opened the inning with back-to-back singles before Slade delivered a two-run triple to right field. Limbani followed with an RBI groundout to push the lead to 7-3.
Serafinko shut the Seahawks down in the seventh, throwing back-to-back strikeouts to end the contest and push the Johnnies' win streak to five.
