St. John’s Baseball to Host Jack Kaiser Golf Classic

Alumni and supporters of the program are invited to attend on June 22 at The Woodside Club
QUEENS, N.Y. (April 29, 2026) – For the first time since 2019, the St. John's baseball program will once again host The Jack Kaiser Golf Classic this summer. The event, which will bring together decades of St. John's alumni and fans in support of their program, will be held on Monday, June 22, at The Woodside Club in Syosset.
"We're thrilled to bring back The Jack Kaiser Golf Classic," said Head Coach Mike Hampton. "This is an event that we've been trying to reinstate for years, as we know how much our alumni and fans cherish the opportunity to gather together and support our proud program."

Named after the legendary Jack Kaiser, the longtime St. John's baseball coach and athletic director who dedicated parts of nine decades in service to his alma mater before passing away in 2022, the event will celebrate the lofty legacy and promising future of the Red Storm baseball program.
Included in the event will be the presentation of The Jack Kaiser Advocate Award to Mary Pat Beirne '81C, '85 GEd, who spent nearly two decades in service to her alma mater and its athletic department in a variety of administrative roles. The Jack Kaiser Advocate Award is the highest honor that the baseball program bestows, given to an individual who embodies Coach Kaiser's legacy of loyalty, dedication and exceptional support.
The day will begin at 10 a.m. with breakfast and driving range access followed by a 12 p.m. shotgun start. There will be a post-round cocktail hour from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. In addition to breakfast and passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, there will also be a full BBQ lunch served at Poppy's Halfway House and six food and beverage stations throughout the course. The day will feature a small gift for each participant and prizes for on-course contest winners and the low foursome of the day.
