Baseball Collects ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for 11th Straight Season

Johnnies recognized for outstanding performance in the classroom
QUEENS, N.Y. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the recipients of the Team Academic Excellence Awards on Wednesday morning. The St. John's baseball team was recognized with the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
St. John's has collected the honor every year since the ABCA introduced the award for its outstanding work in the classroom.
The 2026 BIG EAST Champions turned in a cumulative GPA of 3.59 for the most recent academic year. The Red Storm are just one of five BIG EAST schools to earn this honor.
This marks the sixth time Head Coach Mike Hampton squad has garnered the honor.
