O’Leary made All-Region First Team, while Agresti and Raifstanger were tabbed All-Region Second Team
GREENSBORO. N.C. – Following one of the most successful seasons in recent program history, three St. John's baseball standouts earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Northeast Region honors, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Liam O'Leary garnered First Team recognition, while Adam Agresti and Jayder Raifstanger secured spots on the Second Team after each played a pivotal role in guiding the Red Storm to a pair of BIG EAST Championships and a strong run in the NCAA Tournament.
O'Leary earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team honors, one of just three starting pitchers to be tabbed to the Northeast Region team. A unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection, O'Leary posted a 3.64 ERA while tossing three complete games and one shutout. The junior logged 108.2 innings, tying Sean Hagan's program single-season record set in 2012. The right-handed hurler struck out 78 batters while limiting opponents to a .248 batting average. The Souderton, Pa., native helped lead St. John's to victories in eight of his final 10 starts, including a 7-1 record against BIG EAST competition and two postseason wins.
Agresti, the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Most Outstanding Player, added another milestone to his historic campaign. The redshirt sophomore was a cornerstone of the Red Storm lineup, becoming the second player in program history to hit 20 home runs in a single season, trailing only Jeremy Baltz, who belted 24 in 2010. The catcher finished the year batting .297, logging 55 RBIs and 50 walks while posting a .639 slugging percentage. During St. John's postseason run, he launched three home runs, including the program's first grand slam in an NCAA Tournament game in more than two decades. His 50 walks are tied for the second-highest single-season total alongside Charlie Bilezikjian (2002).
Raifstanger, an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection, emerged as one of the Red Storm's most reliable bats in 2026, leading the team with a .325 batting average, 82 hits and 16 doubles while ranking second on the squad with 49 RBIs. The Great Barrington, Mass., native also drew 32 walks and recorded at least one hit in 50 of St. John's 62 games. Defensively, he anchored third base with a .962 fielding percentage. During the postseason, the junior batted .375 with eight runs scored, two doubles and eight RBIs as the Red Storm advanced to its first Super Regionals since 2012.
