Dylan Johnson Throws Out First Pitch at Citi Field on Friday Night

The St. John’s baseball team was honored at the New York Mets game
QUEENS, N.Y.– St. John's right-handed pitcher Dylan Johnson threw out the first pitch as the baseball program was honored at Friday night's New York Mets game at Citi Field.
The Red Storm was recognized after its decorated postseason run that featured a trip to the NCAA Tournament Super Regionals, its 10th BIG EAST Regular Season Championship and 11th conference tournament crown.
Johnson jogged to the mound to deliver an honorary pitch to teammate and Tallahassee Regional Most Outstanding Player Adam Agresti. The right-handed hurler fired a fastball for strike right down the middle of the plate to a warm ovation from the crowd.
Prior to the game, the entire team went onto the field during warm-ups and received commemorative Mets hats and t-shirts. Additionally, the team was shown on the videoboard during the middle of the second inning.
The Johnnies concluded the 2026 campaign with a 36-26 overall record and won all seven of its BIG EAST series'. St. John's captured eight of its 10 contests to finish out the year, including sweeping through the conference tournament and the NCAA Tournament Tallahassee Regional.
