TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Game two of the Tuscaloosa Super Regional between St. John's and No. 7 Alabama has been suspended due to inclement weather and will be resumed on Monday afternoon at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
The contest will resume in the top of the eighth inning with the Crimson Tide in front, 7-2. Alabama's Luke Vaughn will be at the plate with Brennan Holt on first base and no outs recorded when play resumes tomorrow.
The game was delayed at 5:35 p.m. local time due to lightning in the area and was ultimately suspended at 10 p.m. CT following a 4 hour and 25 minute weather delay at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
If the Johnnies were to force a winner-take-all game three, first pitch would be scheduled for 55 minutes after the conclusion of game two.
