As a Graduate Student (2019):
Made 17 appearances, all in relief… went 3-1 with a 6.85 ERA… struck out 24 batters and walked 12 in 22.1 innings of work… held opponents to a .224 batting average… made his St. John’s debut at UCLA, giving up three runs in 3.1 innings (Feb. 16)… allowed one run in 3.0 innings in the second game of a doubleheader against Western Carolina (Feb. 24)… struck out three in 2.0 innings against San Diego (March 1)… threw a scoreless frame against Columbia to pick up his first win of the season (April 3)… struck out four in 2.1 no-hit innings to pick up his second win against Albany (April 9)… struck out the side against Iona (April 30)… recorded all four of his outs via the K at Creighton (May 10)… retired both batters he faced to register the win (May 17)… struck out both batters he faced against Creighton in the BIG EAST Tournament (May 24).
As a Senior (2018):
Selected to the ABCA/Rawlings Northeast All-Region Second Team... Served as team captain... Returned from injury to put together his finest season as a Ram... Set career-highs for wins (6), ERA (2.40), starts (15), innings pitched (82.1), strikeouts (65), and opponent batting average (.223)... Rams were 12-3 in his starts... Was outstanding in Atlantic 10 play, going 4-0 with a 2.12 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 51 innings... Allowed just one hit over five innings with five strikeouts in a win over South Florida (2/23)... Split time between starter and reliever on the mound in his second season... Appeared in 13 games, making seven starts... Missed a portion of the season due to injury... Finished the year 4-1 with a save and a 2.83 ERA... Had 30 strikeouts over 57.1 innings pitched... Ranked second on the team in ERA... Got the win in the season opening game against Furman, tossing 3.2 innings of two-hit relief with two strikeouts (2/19)... Earned his second win against Canisius, allowing two runs over six innings of work (2/27)... Threw two innings of scoreless relief at #7/10 LSU (3/5)... Improved to 3-0 against Manhattan, allowing one run over five innings with a season-high six strikeouts (3/8)... Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection... Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week once... Had an outstanding first season with the Rams, appearing in 18 games, starting 11... Led Fordham in ERA at 3.04, while being second on the team in innings pitched (71.0), third in wins (4), and fifth in appearances and strikeouts (33)... Also excelled in conference play with a team-best 2.28 ERA over 43.1 innings... Threw five or more innings on eight occasions... Earned first career victory against Manhattan, allowing one run over 6.2 innings of work with three strikeouts (3/10)... Struck out a season-high seven batters over eight innings in a win over UMass-Lowell (3/17)... Multi-sport athlete at Scarborough High School, playing both baseball and football... Two-time Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Maine in 2013 and 2014... Posted a sub-1.50 ERA on the mound as a senior while hitting over .500... Was awarded the 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year, after posting a 6-0 record with a 0.54 ERA, 46 strikeouts, and five walks in 39 innings pitched... Earned the Maine Sunday Telegram High School Baseball Player of the Year award, the SMAA MVP award, and the Edson Hadlock Award for Most Valuable Pitcher... All-Conference and All-State selection... Played summer ball for coach Ryan Leahy at Legends Baseball... Also excelled on the gridiron, receiving Scarborough Fall Male Athlete of the Year honors from The Forecaster, after racking up 1,021 passing yards, 844 rushing yards, and 23 total touchdowns... Student-Athlete Summit Representative and honor roll student... Volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, as well as assisting little league baseball and youth football clinics, while serving as a donor/fundraiser of equipment and money for a school in Haiti.
