As a Redshirt Junior (2022):
Did not see game action due to injury.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2021):
Made eight appearances, all of which were starts… went 2-3 with a 5.00 ERA… struck out 32 and walked 19 in 36.0 innings pitched… threw no wild pitches on the season… struck out five in 4.2 innings of one-run work against UMass Lowell (Feb. 28)… picked up his first win of the season, allowing no earned runs and four hits in 5.0 frames against Sacred Heart (March 7)… tallied season-highs of 10 strikeouts and 6.0 innings pitched against Fordham (March 21)… struck out eight in 5.2 innings of one-run work to pick up the win against Creighton (May 1)... missed the final two weekends of the season with injury.
As a Sophomore (2020):
Made four appearances, one of which was a start, during the Red Storm’s shortened season…went 0-0 with a 10.12 ERA… struck out nine and walked five in 8.0 innings of work… threw 1.2 innings of scoreless relief at California (Feb. 23)… made his first collegiate start against Iona, allowing two runs and striking out six in 4.0 innings of work (March 11).
As a Freshman (2019):
Made eight appearances, all in relief… went 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA… struck out five and walked five in 7.0 innings of work… made his collegiate debut at San Diego (March 1)… struck out two in 1.1 innings against LIU Brooklyn (April 10)… twirled a scoreless frame against Fairleigh Dickinson, picking up his first collegiate win in the process (April 16)… went 1.1 scoreless at Fairleigh Dickinson (May 1)… struck out one in a 1-2-3 inning at Creighton (May 10)… retired two of the three batters he faced against Xavier in the BIG EAST Tournament (May 25).
Before College:
A three-year letter winner at Shawnee High School… a two-year team captain… helped lead the Renegades to consecutive Olympic Conference Championships in 2017 and 2018… named first team all-conference as a junior… competed in The Carpenter Cup as a junior... listed as the no. 56 recruit in the state of New Jersey by Perfect Game.
Personal:
Brian Christopher Hendry… son of Doug and Joanne… has two older brothers, Marc and Doug… chose St. John’s for its baseball program and academic reputation… a member of the honor roll and German club at Shawnee High School… lists his dad as the person he admires most and Conor McGregor as his favorite athlete… plans to major in business.
