Vigeant joined the Red Storm staff as a volunteer assistant coach in September 2022. The newest Johnnie will oversee infield responsibilities and assist with hitting development.
The Coventry, R.I., native comes to Queens from Rhode Island College, where he spent four seasons (2017-21) accumulating a program record 151 games played, all of which were starts. The former second basemen registered a .317 batting average with 183 hits, 120 runs scored, 36 doubles, five home runs, 91 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
After picking up his dual bachelor's degree in psychology and economics from RIC, Vigeant becoming a graduate transfer at St. Andrew's University, where he received a master's degree in business administration in 2022. With the Knights, Vigeant earned an All-Appalachian Athletic Conference First Team selection to go along with the league's batting title, hitting .432 with 56 runs scored and 52 RBI.
The former second baseman has coaching experience, serving as head coach for the 15u Long Island Titans as well as an assistant coach with Winnipesaukee Muskrats in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL).
