Made four appearances, all in relief… struck out two batters and walked seven in 0.2 innings… collected a strikeout in a one-out appearance against Fairleigh Dickinson (April 20).
At Monroe:
Made five appearances, four of which were starts, in 2021… went 2-1 with a 6.87 ERA… struck out 37 batters in 18.1 innings of work… held opponents to a .150 batting average… threw a seven-inning no-hitter with 16 strikeouts against ASA Brooklyn on April 1.
Before College:
Two-year team captain at Kellenberg… won a CHSAA title in 2017… also played basketball for the Firebirds….
Personal:
Jason Thomas Diaz… son of Olga and Tomas Diaz… has two brothers, David and Justin… chose St. John’s for the program’s history and coaching staff… lists his brother, David, as the person he admires most and Marcus Stroman as his favorite athlete… majoring in business.
