As a Junior (2018):
An 18th round pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates (534th overall)… made 17 appearances, 15 of which were starts… compiled a 4-3 record with a 3.16 ERA and a .243 opponent batting average… struck out 55 batters in 77.0 innings of work and surrendered 29 walks… picked up his first win of the year in his season debut, striking out five in six innings of one-run work against Campbell (Feb. 18)… improved to 2-0 with five more innings of one-run work against Penn State (Feb. 25)… allowed two earned in 4.2 frames at Kansas (March 11)… struck out two and allowed just two hits in 3.0 innings of scoreless relief against Binghamton (March 25)… struck out three in three scoreless innings against Saint Peter’s; picked up the win on a scheduled staff day (April 3)… allowed two runs in five innings of work against Villanova (April 8)… dazzled against Creighton, striking out five and allowing just one run on two hits in 7.2 frames against the Bluejays in a no-decision (April 14)… struck out three in six innings of one-run ball against Georgetown (April 22)… improved to 4-1 on the season, allowing two runs in 5.2 frames at Xavier (April 29)... struck out seven in six innings of one-run ball, but suffered the loss in the first game of a doubleheader against Butler (May 18).
