Daly joined the Red Storm staff in September 2022 as the Director of Player Development.
Prior to his arrival at St. John's, the Queens native has spent 26 years with Fire Department of New York, retiring from the FDNY in Spring 2023. The newest Johnnie served as the Lieutenant of Rescue Company 2 (Special Operations) for nearly 15 years.
The former Queens College and Flushing High School middle infielder is also an avid weightlifter, serving as an Olympic weightlifting coach for three years at the Armory and two more with Mettleworks Athletics in Deer Park, N.Y.
Daly currently resides in Whitestone, Queens with longtime girlfriend Esra and her two children Nate & Emma.
