Tamesha Alexander
- Title:
- Graduate Assistant
Following her senior campaign with the St. John’s women’s basketball team, Tamesha Alexander has accepted a position on Head Coach Joe Tartamella’s staff as a graduate assistant. Alexander portrayed leadership both on and off the court over her four years with the Red Storm. The former guard helped St. John’s to four-straight postseason appearances over her time with the team, including a trip to the 2016 NCAA Tournament following the Johnnies’ BIG EAST Tournament title victory. The graduate helped the Johnnies to four-straight winning seasons, boasting an 87-48 record over her time at St. John’s. In three of her four years Alexander helped the Red Storm reach the 20-win mark. In her final season, the Philadelphia native contributed to the team’s 2018 postseason run, as the squad advanced to the WNIT Quarterfinals for the first time in program history. Along with her strong on-court presence, Alexander also provided excellence in the classroom. Majoring in business, the graduate was one of 18 St. John’s student-athletes to garner the 2018 Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Athlete Award. In addition, the Philadelphia native provides superior court vision and incredible knowledge of the game. Alexander will continue to strengthen her leadership skills as she pursues a masters in executive management at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
