As a Junior (2014): Opened up the season by running 20:50.5 at the Metropolitan Championships 5K (Oct. 10) for 62nd place overall … posted a 20:17.2 in the University 5K race at the ECAC Championships in Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y. (Nov. 22) … posted a 24:06.0 at Big East Championship 6K (Oct. 31) finishing third among all Red Storm runners and 73rd overall … posted a 23:29.20 in the 6K at the NCAA Northeast Regional (Nov. 14) and finished third among all St. John’s runners.
As A Sophomore (2013): Opened up the campaign by placing 16th overall at the season-opening SJU-Hofstra Fall XC Festival (Sept. 4) in a time of 16:09.64 for 4K ... posted a career-best time of 18:50.04 for 5K in placing 5th overall and first for the Red Storm at the LIU Post Invitational (Sept. 15) ... placed 33rd at the Brown Invitational (Oct. 18) after covering the 5K course in 20:25.90 ... finished 57th at the BIG EAST Championship (Nov. 2) in Somers, Wis., while posting a time of 24:30.0 for 6K.
As A Freshman (2012): Placed second for the Red Storm in all three championship races in her first season at St. John's ... opened her Red Storm career by placing second on the team and sixth overall at the STJ Fall Festival in a time of 15:57 for 4K (Oct. 14) ... crossed the line second for the Red Storm and 75th overall at the BIG EAST Championships with a time of 24:14 for 6K (Oct. 26) ... set a personal best 6K time of 23:24 in finishing second for the Red Storm at the NCAA Northeast Regional meet (Nov. 10) ... closed out a terrific rookie season by placing 36th overall the ECAC Championships in a personal best time of 19:34 for 5K (Nov. 17).
At Notre Dame Academy: lettered four years in track & field ... captained the team for two seasons ... recognized as a New York Post All-Sports All-Star in 2011 and 2012 ... contributed to the distance medley relay squad that became the first team in Staten Island to compete at the Penn Relays Championship of America in over a decade ... ran a leg for the top-ranked distance medley relay team in the nation ... member of the 2011 Staten Island Cross Country Championship team ... named freshman MVP in 2009 ... selected most dedicated in 2011 and 2012 and most valuable all four years on the track & field team ... recorded personal-best times of 2:15 in the 800-meters, 4:45 in the 1500-meters, 15:52 in the 4K and 19:35 in the 5K.
Personal: Daughter of Laura and James Butler ... has one younger sister Lianne ... listens to Justin Bieber and house music to get pumped up for races ... volunteered with the NYC Marathon, CYO track & field, and CYO basketball ... chose St. John's for the opportunity to compete in the BIG EAST against the best distance runners in the country.
